What should you know about slight pink discharge after sex?

A small amount of blood mixed with vaginal fluid can look pink after friction, dryness, a delicate vaginal lining, or contact with the cervix. It can also occur around a period or after a change in contraception. Menopause-related tissue changes may make bleeding after sex more likely because the vagina can become drier and more sensitive.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse may cause pressure or tissue irritation, but pink discharge has several possible explanations. Bleeding after sex is not a reliable way to identify its cause, so the pattern and accompanying symptoms matter.
