Seek emergency help for heavy bleeding, severe pain, faintness, breathing difficulty, facial swelling or a rapidly worsening rash. These symptoms need assessment for reasons beyond the injection itself. Do not wait for a routine appointment when a new pregnancy event has occurred.

Ask why the injection is recommended, when it should be given, whether another dose may be needed after a later event, and which side effects are expected. Ask how your blood group was confirmed and where the treatment will be recorded.
