Both areas hold warmth and moisture and experience movement, so Intertrigo can cause red, tender, cracked skin. Contact Dermatitis may follow deodorant, soap, detergent, hair removal, or fabric exposure. Heat Rash can affect sweaty areas. Ringworm may spread from one fold with a scaly advancing edge. Atopic Dermatitis and Psoriasis can involve folds with less typical scaling. Scabies becomes more relevant when itching is intense at night or close contacts itch too. Wash with a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser, rinse well, and pat every fold dry.
