What should you know about plasma pen hooded eyes?

Hooded eyes can reflect natural anatomy, ageing skin, brow position, or a combination of these factors. A plasma pen creates tiny thermal points on the surface; it does not lift the brow or remove deeper eyelid tissue. The visible effect may be limited when excess skin is substantial or when the brow is contributing to the hooded appearance.

Eyelid skin is thin and close to the eye, making technique and protective barriers especially important. Swelling, redness, crusting, and temporary difficulty opening the eyes can occur after treatment. Pigment change or scarring is possible, particularly when healing skin is irritated or exposed to sunlight.

Choose a qualified healthcare professional experienced with periocular procedures. Ask for an examination of the eyelids, brow, eye surface, and any existing asymmetry. Mention dry eyes, contact lenses, allergies, eczema, cold sores, previous eyelid surgery, medicines, and any history of abnormal scarring. Seek urgent medical attention for blurred or reduced vision, severe eye pain, marked light sensitivity, inability to close an eye, or swelling that affects breathing. Persistent eyelid asymmetry or colour change should be assessed after the skin has healed.
