What should you know about plasma pen after treatment?

The device creates a controlled thermal effect at the skin surface. This can leave pinpoint crusts, tenderness, tightness, warmth, or temporary colour change. Swelling may be more noticeable around delicate areas. Crusts should loosen naturally; picking them can increase irritation and may raise the chance of a lasting mark.

Healing varies with the body area, treatment intensity, skin tone, and your individual response. The final appearance should not be judged while the skin is still inflamed.

Clean the area only as directed, pat it dry, and use the recommended bland ointment or moisturiser. Avoid rubbing, exfoliating acids, retinoids, fragranced products, swimming, saunas, and intense heat until the surface has recovered. Protect healed skin from daylight with clothing or a broad-spectrum sunscreen recommended for you.

Do not apply makeup over open or weeping skin. Keep follow-up appointments, especially if the area remains irritated or the colour changes after the crusts clear.

Contact the treating clinic if pain, redness, swelling, or heat is worsening rather than settling, or if you notice pus, spreading redness, fever, blisters, or delayed healing. Urgent assessment is appropriate for severe swelling near the eye, trouble breathing, or sudden vision changes.
