What should you know about pilgrim chemical peel?

A peel uses a chemical solution to loosen selected surface cells. Depending on the formulation, it may be considered for Acne, Comedonal Acne, Melasma, Sun-Damaged Skin, Sun Spots, or Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. Glycolic Acid is one exfoliating material used in some peel formulas. Treatment depth affects expected redness, peeling, recovery, and the need for supervision; a branded name alone does not establish the formula or strength.

Tell the practitioner about sensitive skin, eczema, cold sores, recent waxing, retinoids, acne medicines, and any tendency toward dark marks after irritation. Follow the preparation plan rather than adding exfoliants. Afterward, cleanse gently, moisturise, avoid picking peeling skin, and protect treated areas from sunlight with clothing and a suitable sunscreen. Do not schedule another exfoliating procedure until the skin has recovered.

Contact the treating clinician for severe pain, increasing swelling, blistering, weeping, pus, spreading redness, or colour change that is worsening rather than settling. Urgent assessment is needed for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, eye pain, or extensive skin peeling.
