Pictures of Yeast Diaper Rash: What to Know

Nappy rash can affect the buttocks, genitals, groin, and folds. A yeast-related pattern may be intensely red, shiny, and persistent, with smaller spots just beyond the main area. Irritation from moisture, stool, urine, friction, or products can look similar, and more than one cause can be present. A picture gives useful context but does not establish the cause.

Change nappies frequently, rinse with lukewarm water or use fragrance-free wipes, and pat the skin dry rather than rubbing. Give short periods without a nappy when practical, and avoid fragranced products or talc.
