Paronychia turning green: what it may mean

A green tint may appear beneath a lifted nail edge, beside an inflamed nail fold, or in trapped moisture. It can occur when bacteria grow in a damp space, although staining, nail injury, yeast, or another nail disorder can look similar. Colour alone cannot identify the cause.
