What should you know about oligo hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in body tissues and joint fluid. The word oligo refers to shorter molecular chains. Formulation, concentration, sterility, and the intended use matter more than the label alone. A product used in a joint injection is not the same as a skin product or an oral supplement.

A clinician may discuss hyaluronic acid when joint movement is uncomfortable or when the cushioning and lubrication environment of a joint needs attention. It does not rebuild a damaged ligament or correct every cause of pain.
