What should you know about old age spots on face?

Facial skin receives repeated ultraviolet exposure, so sun spots can develop as flat tan, brown, or darker patches on the forehead, cheeks, nose, or other exposed areas. They may sit beside broader uneven tone caused by other pigment processes. Colour and texture vary between skin tones. A clinician looks at the whole mark, its edges, surface, and history rather than relying on the phrase age spot.

Use shade, a hat, and sunscreen on exposed facial skin, and reapply as directed on outdoor days. Keep products gentle and introduce only one new active at a time. Once the diagnosis is clear, options may include chemical peel, IPL photofacial, picosecond laser treatment, or cryotherapy.
