What does numbness in the hands and feet mean?

Numbness in both hands and feet can come from irritated nerves, pressure, circulation changes, or a broader medical problem. The timing, distribution, triggers, and associated symptoms help a clinician narrow the possibilities.

Tingling after leaning on an elbow or sitting awkwardly often settles when pressure is removed.
