Mym microneedling pen explained

The pen contains a needle cartridge that moves across the skin at a selected setting. Each pass creates tiny channels in the outer skin layers, triggering a repair response that can remodel collagen as the skin heals. The clinician adjusts the approach for the body area, skin condition, thickness, sensitivity, and treatment aim.

Treatment can leave temporary redness, warmth, tightness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, or flaking. A device name does not determine whether the procedure is appropriate: the assessment, sterile technique, cartridge choice, and aftercare are all relevant.

Before treatment, disclose active breakouts, cold sores, eczema, infection, unusual scarring, pigment concerns, medicines, and recent laser or injectable procedures. Ask how the cartridge is opened and disposed of and what products should be paused. Afterward, cleanse gently, avoid rubbing and picking, limit heat and strenuous activity as advised, and use broad sun protection once permitted. Call the clinic if discomfort, redness, swelling, or warmth intensifies after the expected early period, or if you develop pus, spreading redness, fever, blisters, or a significant dark or light patch. Urgent help is needed for facial swelling with breathing difficulty. Delay further treatment until a clinician has assessed any unexpected reaction.
