What should you know about MusicGlove hand therapy?

Short answer
MusicGlove hand therapy is an interactive rehabilitation approach that pairs hand exercises with music and visual feedback to encourage repeated, purposeful movement.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

How it may help
A glove or sensor-based system can detect selected finger and hand movements while software provides cues or responds to progress. The activity may make practice more engaging, but it should be matched to your strength, sensation, coordination, and goals by a hand therapist. It can be considered during recovery from Distal Radius Fracture, or for problems such as De Quervain's Tenosynovitis, Hand Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, or Dupuytren's Contracture. It is an exercise tool, not a replacement for diagnosis, splinting, wound care, or a broader rehabilitation plan.
Using it safely
Start with the programme and repetitions prescribed for you. Keep the wrist and fingers aligned as instructed, take breaks, and stop if pain becomes sharp, swelling increases, or tingling persists after practice. Check the fit of the glove and keep any sensor or skin-contact surface clean. Record which movements are difficult so the therapist can adjust resistance, speed, or range. Hand Therapy may also include tendon gliding, scar care, splint changes, grip training, and everyday task practice.
When to contact a clinician
Seek prompt care for a newly pale, blue, cold, or numb hand; rapidly worsening swelling; severe pain after an injury; spreading redness or drainage from a wound; or sudden loss of finger movement. Arrange review if symptoms steadily worsen, night numbness develops, or the device repeatedly aggravates one area. A clinician may need to reassess the underlying problem before exercise continues.
Questions to ask
What movement should I practise first? How much discomfort is acceptable? Should I use the glove after surgery or during a flare? How will you measure progress? When might Carpal Tunnel Release or Dupuytren's Surgery need separate discussion?
