What should you know about muscle relaxer for shoulder pain?

These medicines reduce muscle activity or make a tight muscle easier to move. They may be considered when guarding or spasm is adding to shoulder discomfort. They do not repair a tendon, reverse arthritis, or correct a trapped nerve. Shoulder pain can occur with rotator cuff tendinitis, shoulder impingement, frozen shoulder, or other problems, so the treatment needs to match the examination.
