Is mirtazapine a muscle relaxant?

Mirtazapine is prescribed for depression and may affect sleep, appetite, alertness, and mood. It does not work like medicines specifically selected to reduce muscle spasm. Feeling sleepy or relaxed after taking it does not make it a suitable treatment for a painful or tight muscle.
