What should you know about mHSPC prostate cancer?

mHSPC means metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer. Metastatic indicates that cancer cells are present outside the prostate, often in bones or other organs. Hormone-sensitive means the cancer is currently expected to respond to treatment that lowers or blocks androgen signals. Your team may use scans, prostate-specific antigen results, symptoms, and overall health to describe the extent of disease.

Treatment decisions are personal. They may involve hormone therapy alone or combined treatment, depending on the spread, symptoms, previous care, and your preferences. Bone health also deserves attention because prostate cancer and hormone treatment can affect bones.
