Silicone forms a flexible layer over the scar and helps limit friction and moisture loss at the skin surface. It is generally considered for scars that are fully closed, including some surgical scars, injury scars, and raised scars. It cannot remove a scar or restore skin to its former appearance. Newer scars may respond differently from older, firm, or deeply tethered scars.

Do not place the sheet over an open wound, active rash, draining area, or skin that has not finished healing. The adhesive or trapped moisture can irritate sensitive skin, especially if the sheet is worn for long periods without checking the area.

Clean and dry the healed scar before applying the sheet, then trim the material so it covers the scar with a small margin without pressing onto fragile surrounding skin. Follow the product instructions for wear time, removal, washing, and reuse. Build up wear gradually if your skin is reactive.
