What should you know about Medela cradle cap?

Cradle cap, also called infantile seborrheic dermatitis, produces greasy or dry scales and flakes on a baby's scalp. It is usually limited to the scalp and does not mean a baby is unclean. The scale can look thick, but pulling it away may cause small breaks in the skin. Some babies also have similar changes around the eyebrows, behind the ears, or in skin folds, so the distribution helps a clinician distinguish it from eczema, infection, or another rash.
