Measles Urdu meaning: what the term describes

In Urdu, measles is commonly called khasra (خسرا). It is an infection caused by a virus and can pass between people through the air when an infected person breathes, coughs or sneezes. Early symptoms may include fever, cough, runny nose and sore or watery eyes. A rash can appear later and may begin on the face before moving down the body.
