Meaning of measles in English

Measles is also known as rubeola. It is different from German measles, which is rubella. Early illness may resemble a cold, with fever, cough, runny nose or sore eyes; a rash can appear later and spread across the body. A rash alone does not confirm measles, because several illnesses can look similar.
