What should you know about lipo fibroadenoma breast?

A fibroadenoma is a solid breast lump made from glandular and supporting tissue. It may feel smooth, rounded, and able to move slightly under the fingers. Some lumps are noticed during self-awareness, while others are found on imaging. The term lipo fibroadenoma may describe fatty tissue associated with a fibroadenoma, but the exact diagnosis depends on examination and imaging rather than the name alone.

A breast lump is a common presentation of fibroadenoma, but a new or changing lump cannot be identified reliably by touch alone. Breast ultrasound can help show whether a lump is solid or fluid-filled. A biopsy may be recommended when imaging or examination leaves uncertainty.

Arrange an appointment for any new breast lump, especially if it persists, enlarges, becomes harder, or differs from the surrounding tissue. Note when you first noticed it, whether it changes with your menstrual cycle, and whether there is pain, nipple discharge, or a skin change. Bring this history to the visit.

Your clinician may examine both breasts and the nearby armpit, then recommend imaging. Some confirmed fibroadenomas can be monitored with planned follow-up; removal may be discussed if the lump is large, growing, uncomfortable, or difficult to classify. Seek prompt medical assessment for a new lump with bloody nipple discharge, dimpling or puckering of the skin, a newly inverted nipple, redness with marked swelling, or a lump in the armpit. These signs do not diagnose cancer, but they should not be ignored. If the breast is hot, very painful, or you feel unwell, urgent assessment may be needed because infection is another possibility.
