Lines on my forehead: how to get rid of them

Short answer
Forehead lines may soften with daily sun protection, moisturiser and treatments chosen after examining your skin and muscle movement.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

What forehead lines mean
Horizontal forehead lines are wrinkles that become more visible when you raise your eyebrows or look surprised. Repeated contraction of the forehead muscle folds the overlying skin; with time, some creases can remain visible while your face is relaxed. Ultraviolet exposure, dry skin and natural changes in collagen support can make the texture easier to see. Their presence does not by itself identify a medical problem.
Ways to reduce their appearance
Use broad-spectrum sunscreen on exposed skin, reapply as directed on the product, and wear a hat in strong sunlight. A gentle cleanser and regular moisturiser can reduce dryness that emphasises fine texture. A clinician may discuss a botulinum toxin injection to temporarily relax selected forehead muscles, or other options based on skin texture and pigmentation. Avoid rubbing the area and introduce any retinoid product gradually because irritation can make lines look more noticeable.
When to seek care
Arrange a dermatology assessment if a new forehead mark is changing, bleeding, persistently crusted or unlike the surrounding skin. Seek prompt medical care for sudden facial weakness, severe headache, confusion or a new neurological symptom rather than treating the lines cosmetically. An examination also helps distinguish a wrinkle from a rash, scar or other skin change.
Questions for your doctor
Ask which muscle movements contribute to your lines, whether your current skincare could irritate the area, and which treatment fits your expression, skin type and desired degree of change. Ask about expected swelling, bruising, follow-up and what symptoms should prompt a call.

Questions people ask
Can forehead lines improve without an injectable treatment?
Daily sun protection and moisturising may soften their appearance, while results vary with depth and skin changes.
Why are my lines visible when my face is relaxed?
Repeated movement can leave a crease that remains visible between expressions, with sun exposure and reduced skin support adding texture.
