Get urgent help for heavy bleeding, severe pelvic pain, fainting, fever, or a positive pregnancy test with pain or bleeding. Seek prompt assessment for repeated post-sex bleeding, bleeding after menopause, or foul-smelling discharge. Cervical cancer can present with abnormal bleeding, but post-sex spotting by itself cannot diagnose it.
