What laser treatment can do

Sun spots, also called solar lentigines, are flat areas of increased pigment linked with cumulative ultraviolet exposure. A laser can deliver energy to pigment and may make a selected spot fade as the treated skin heals. It does not prevent new spots caused by ongoing sun exposure, and a treated mark can change again.
