What should you know about laser CO2 Galvo?

Galvo is short for galvanometer scanning. In a CO2 laser system, moving mirrors can guide the beam across the treatment field according to a programmed pattern. The scanner is a delivery feature; it does not by itself tell you how deep or intense the procedure will be. A clinician may adjust density, energy, and passes for acne scars, wrinkles, pores, or sun-related texture while protecting untreated skin between treatment points.

Have a consultation that covers your goal, skin tone, recent tanning, active rash, acne, cold sores, and medicines or products that can irritate skin. Arrange gentle aftercare and avoid scheduling around an event until you know your expected recovery. In the healing period, cleanse only as directed, keep the surface moisturised, do not remove crusts, and protect treated skin from sunlight and excess heat. Your clinic should tell you when to restart retinoids, acids, shaving, exercise, and makeup.
