What should you know about Lamisil for a skin rash?

Lamisil contains terbinafine, an antifungal medicine. It is designed for fungal infections, which may produce a scaly, itchy, expanding patch or affect the feet, body, groin, or nails. A rash with a similar appearance can also come from eczema, irritation, allergy, heat, psoriasis, mites, or moisture in skin folds. A rash does not identify its cause by appearance alone. A clinician may ask about exposure, other symptoms, affected body sites, and previous treatments before recommending an antifungal.
