What should you know about KT tape for a dislocated shoulder?

A dislocation changes the position of the shoulder joint and may affect nearby nerves, blood vessels, bone, or soft tissue. Tape placed over a visibly altered shoulder cannot correct that position and may hide swelling or delay care. Do not try to force the arm back, massage the joint, or test its range repeatedly.
