What should you know about kinesio tape for wrinkles?

Kinesiology tape is an elastic adhesive material used mainly for movement support, sensory cues and selected rehabilitation plans. Facial taping may temporarily limit movement or make the skin feel supported, but it does not rebuild collagen or correct sun-related skin change. Pulling tape across delicate skin can cause redness, itching, small tears or a rash, especially when it is removed quickly. Adhesive allergy, eczema, acne, recent cosmetic procedures and broken skin make facial use less suitable.

Test a small piece on another area of intact skin and wait to see whether irritation develops. Use clean, dry skin without oils or active creams, and apply only light tension; facial skin should not be stretched forcefully. Keep tape away from the eyes, lips, nostrils and hair-bearing areas. Remove it slowly while supporting the skin, and stop if burning, swelling, blistering or marked redness appears.
