Razor burn is short-lived redness, stinging, or warmth caused by friction and shaving. An ingrown hair develops when a cut hair curves back into nearby skin, producing a tender or itchy bump. A product can reduce friction and support comfort, yet it cannot release a trapped hair or treat every cause of inflammation.

Pause close shaving while the skin is inflamed. Wash with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser, apply a bland moisturiser, and avoid scrubbing, picking, or repeatedly passing the razor over one spot. When you resume, soften the hair first, use a clean sharp blade, shave in the direction of growth, and leave a little stubble rather than stretching the skin.
