What should you know about kidney stones in toilet?

A passed stone can look like a grain or pebble and may be tan, yellow, or darker. Pain in the flank, back, lower abdomen, or groin may happen as it moves. Blood in urine, urgency, or painful urination can also occur. Appearance alone cannot identify its composition, and another stone may remain. Dehydration can make urine concentrated, but not every stone is caused by drinking too little.

If possible, place the object in a clean container and take it to a GP Consultation. Drink fluids regularly unless a clinician has restricted them; do not force fluids if vomiting or if you have heart or kidney problems. A clinician may test urine and consider an Abdominal Ultrasound.

Seek urgent care for fever or chills with urinary symptoms, severe or worsening Abdominal Pain or Flank Pain, repeated vomiting, or Difficulty Passing Urine. These can indicate blockage or infection and need prompt assessment. Persistent Painful Urination or visible blood also needs medical advice.
