What should you know about Juvederm jaw filler?

The product is placed beneath the skin at carefully chosen points, which may include the chin–jaw transition or the angle of the jaw. The aim can be sharper separation from the neck, improved balance between facial features or correction of mild asymmetry. Results depend on bone structure, soft tissue and the injector’s plan; filler cannot replace treatment for loose skin or a dental or skeletal problem.

During consultation, describe the outline you want without relying only on a photograph. Mention prior filler, facial surgery, dental work, skin infection, allergies and medicines. After treatment, keep the area clean, avoid firm pressure and postpone strenuous activity or facial treatments for the period advised by the clinic. Do not judge symmetry while swelling is changing; attend the planned review so the injector can examine the contour.

Report escalating pain, unusual pale or dusky skin, pronounced one-sided swelling, blistering or spreading redness without delay. Vision changes, severe headache, weakness, speech difficulty or new facial drooping after filler are emergencies and need immediate medical assessment. Do not attempt to correct a worrying change by pressing the treated area.
