Enhancement usually refers to adding definition or support where the jawline blends into the cheek, neck, or chin. The clinician may assess your face at rest and while moving, then consider whether volume, skin laxity, muscle prominence, or skeletal shape is the main influence on appearance.

Get advice from the treating clinic if pain or swelling is increasing rather than easing, or if redness, warmth, discharge, or fever appears. Seek urgent care for severe pain, pale or mottled skin, blisters, changes in vision, or new weakness or numbness, as rapid assessment can matter.

Ask what feature is being enhanced, what alternatives could address the same concern, how the injector will protect natural movement, when you should expect the contour to settle, and who to contact if symptoms develop after the appointment.
