Itchy Skin From a Yeast Infection

Cutaneous candidiasis commonly affects areas where skin touches skin, such as the groin, under the breasts, armpits, or abdominal folds. Moisture, friction, and limited airflow can allow yeast to overgrow. The area may feel itchy, burning, tender, or raw and can develop a sharply irritated edge or small spots just beyond the main patch.
