What should you know about itchy rash around groin?

Sweat and rubbing can inflame the folds in Intertrigo, especially when the area stays damp. Ringworm may produce an itchy, scaly border that extends along the inner thigh. Contact Dermatitis can follow fragranced wash, wipes, laundry products, pads, or fabric dyes. Atopic Dermatitis and Psoriasis can also affect the groin, sometimes with less scale than on other body sites. Heat Rash may appear after heat and sweating. Scabies is more likely when night-time itch affects other household members or other body sites.

Rinse gently, pat the folds completely dry, and change out of sweaty clothing promptly. Keep towels and underwear personal while a contagious cause is possible.
