What should you know about itchy rash after sunburn?

Sunburn damages the outer skin and triggers inflammation. As redness settles, dryness and peeling can make the surface itchy or tight. A rash that appears after sun exposure but extends beyond the burned area may reflect a light-triggered reaction, a product reaction, or another skin problem.
