What should you know about isavela compression wear?

Compression garments apply pressure through fabric that is usually firmer at one end and less firm farther along the limb. This can support fluid movement and reduce the effect of swelling during daily activity. Isavela products may be used after surgery or as part of lymphoedema care, depending on the body area and the person's measurements. They are not a substitute for assessment: swelling can also reflect infection, a blood clot or another problem. Correct size, garment length, skin condition and comfort all matter.

Have the garment measured or fitted by a trained professional when possible. Put it on as instructed, smooth folds, check the skin, and follow washing and replacement guidance. Remove it and contact the care team if it causes numbness, tingling, colour change, marked pain, coldness or skin damage. Do not alter the garment without advice.

Seek prompt medical advice for sudden one-sided swelling, warmth, redness, severe pain, chest pain or new breathlessness. These symptoms need assessment rather than being managed by changing a garment. Contact the fitting team if swelling worsens, the garment becomes difficult to apply or the skin breaks down.
