Is skin analysis imaging done with skin imaging system?

During an appointment, the system may use controlled lighting, fixed positioning, and several views of the face or another treatment area. Images can make features such as uneven tone, redness, texture, pores, or spots easier to document over time. The images support a clinician’s examination; they do not replace questions, physical assessment, or testing when a lesion needs a medical diagnosis.

Ask whether to arrive without makeup, sunscreen, or active skin products, because reflective or tinted products can affect the images. Keep the head position and facial expression consistent when repeat images are taken. Discuss who can view the images, how they are stored, and whether you may receive copies. Tell the clinician about a new or symptomatic lesion rather than relying on an image score.

Arrange a clinical review for a spot that is changing, bleeding, painful, crusted, or not healing. Seek urgent advice for sudden facial swelling, severe eye symptoms, or a rapidly worsening skin reaction. An imaging appointment should not delay assessment of a concerning lesion or acute symptoms.

Ask what the images can and cannot show, whether the same settings will be used for comparison, which findings need direct examination, and how the images will influence the proposed treatment plan.
