Is PRP facial done with PRP centrifuge kit?

During a PRP facial, a clinician draws a small blood sample and places it in a prepared tube or device. Centrifugation separates components according to their density, allowing the platelet-rich layer to be collected. That material may then be applied after microneedling or delivered through another treatment method chosen by the clinician.

Kits differ in their tubes, processing steps, and instructions. The kit is equipment used to prepare the material; it is not itself the facial treatment and does not determine whether the procedure suits your skin.

Ask which kit and processing method will be used, how the sample is kept sterile, and whether the platelet-rich layer will be applied, injected, or used with microneedling. Tell the clinic about bleeding disorders, medicines that affect clotting, active skin infection, and a history of poor wound healing.

Plan for temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or pinpoint bleeding depending on the technique. Follow the clinic’s aftercare instructions, avoid picking at treated skin, and use only products they consider suitable while the skin settles.

Contact the treating clinic for increasing pain, spreading redness, warmth, pus, fever, worsening swelling, or a reaction that is not settling. Urgent assessment is appropriate for breathing difficulty, facial swelling involving the mouth or throat, or a sudden change in vision.

Ask who performs the procedure, how the kit is handled, which technique will be used, and what results are realistic for your concern. Ask about preparation, aftercare, possible alternatives, and symptoms that should be reported promptly.
