Is hair exosome therapy done with exosomes?

Exosomes are small membrane-bound particles released by cells. In cosmetic hair services, a clinic may describe an exosome preparation as being applied to the scalp or delivered through small injections or a device. The label alone does not tell you the source, concentration, manufacturing controls, sterility, or whether the product is authorized for the proposed use. Some services may also combine the preparation with microneedling or another scalp procedure.

Ask the provider to show the product packaging and explain its source, ingredients, storage, sterility checks, and exact route of delivery. Confirm whether the plan is topical, injected, or paired with a device, and discuss your diagnosis rather than treating unexplained shedding from an advertisement. A scalp examination can help distinguish pattern hair loss from inflammation, infection, scarring, or a sudden shedding disorder.

Arrange medical assessment for sudden patchy loss, scalp pain, pus, marked redness, thick scale, bleeding, or rapidly spreading hair loss. After treatment, seek prompt care for increasing pain, warmth, swelling, drainage, fever, breathing difficulty, or facial swelling.
