Bring your everyday shoes and describe the activities you want the orthotic to support. Wear the device for the recommended periods at first, allowing your feet and shoes to adapt. Check for rubbing, redness, blisters, or pressure after use, and keep the foam clean and dry according to the service’s instructions. If the device feels too soft, too firm, or unstable, arrange an adjustment rather than modifying it at home.

Contact the orthotic provider if discomfort persists, the foam creates a pressure spot, or your walking becomes less steady. Seek prompt advice for skin breakdown, increasing swelling, new numbness, or pain that continues after removing the device. Urgent assessment is appropriate for sudden severe foot pain, new weakness, or inability to bear weight.

Ask which EVA density and shape are planned, what the orthotic is intended to change, and how it will fit your shoes. Clarify the wearing schedule, cleaning instructions, expected review, replacement signs, and who should adjust the foam if pressure develops.
