Is antenatal care package done with vitamin d supplement?

Vitamin D helps the body handle calcium and supports bones and muscles. During antenatal care, a clinician may ask about diet, time outdoors, skin coverage, medical conditions, and other supplements before discussing vitamin D.

A supplement is not a substitute for antenatal checks. The product and amount should be chosen carefully because vitamin D can be present in more than one pregnancy or multivitamin product. Taking several products together may unintentionally increase the total.

Bring every supplement label to your appointment, including multivitamins and products bought without a prescription.
