What should you know about ingrown hair pads?

An ingrown hair forms when a shaved, waxed, or naturally curved hair turns back into nearby skin. A pad can provide gentle cleansing or exfoliation, helping shed excess surface cells around the follicle. It cannot reliably remove a hair buried under swollen skin, and a red bump may also reflect folliculitis or razor bumps rather than a simple ingrown hair.

Read the product directions and test a small area first. Apply to clean, dry, intact skin with light pressure; do not scrub, squeeze, or use the pad over cuts, freshly waxed skin, or an open pustule.
