Incubation period for yellow fever

Yellow fever symptoms usually begin within several days after an infected mosquito transmits the virus. Some people have mild illness, while others become seriously unwell, so symptoms after travel to an affected area should not be dismissed.

The incubation period is the time between infection and the first symptoms. Fever, headache, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and marked tiredness may occur early.
