I don't see bed bugs, but I have bites

Bed bug bites may appear as itchy red bumps, sometimes grouped or arranged in a line, but skin marks cannot confirm the source. New marks can also follow mosquitoes, fleas, mites, a reaction to fabric or detergent, or hives. Inspect mattress seams, bed-frame joints, and nearby furniture for insects, shed skins, dark spotting, or blood marks; absence of a visible bug does not exclude exposure. A clinician can assess the pattern and check for another rash, especially when household members are unaffected or the marks continue away from sleeping areas.

Wash the area gently, use a cool compress, and avoid picking or scratching. Wash bedding and recently worn clothing according to their care instructions, and vacuum mattress edges and nearby surfaces. Do not apply household pesticides to skin. Seek urgent help for facial or tongue swelling, breathing difficulty, faintness, or widespread hives.
