The word hydraulic describes how a filler can bind water and add soft fullness; it does not identify one universal brand or a single injection method. A clinician may use hyaluronic acid filler to define the lip border, support the corners, soften lines around the mouth, or add volume. The result depends on the gel's properties, the amount placed, the injection depth, and your natural anatomy. Swelling and bruising can temporarily make the lips look larger or uneven.

Review the treatment with a qualified medical practitioner who can show the product packaging, explain whether it is approved for the intended use, and discuss an emergency plan. Lip injections can rarely affect a blood vessel, so the setting and response plan matter.
