Hyaluronic Acid Under-Eye Filler

A tear trough is a hollow along the lower eyelid and upper cheek. Shadowing there can coexist with pigmentation, puffiness, loose skin, or [Dark Circles](/symptoms/dark-circles/), so filler cannot address every cause of a tired appearance. Hyaluronic acid filler is a gel placed beneath the skin to improve contour in selected patients. Have an experienced medical injector examine the area in different lighting and while you look upward. Discuss allergies, prior filler, eye conditions, swelling, medicines that affect bleeding, and any planned dental or facial procedures. Do not conceal active infection or unexplained eyelid swelling. Follow the clinic’s aftercare instructions and avoid rubbing the treated area. Mild tenderness or swelling can occur after injections, but contact the clinic if pain, redness, heat, or swelling is increasing. Seek emergency care for sudden vision change, severe eye pain, pale or dusky skin, or new neurological symptoms after filler. Prompt assessment matters when a vascular complication is suspected.

Ask whether hollowing, pigmentation, puffiness, or skin laxity is the main issue; where the product would be placed; and how unwanted swelling or asymmetry would be managed. Ask what symptoms require immediate contact after the appointment.
