What should you know about hyaluronic acid skin peeling?

Hyaluronic acid binds water and is commonly used to support a comfortable, hydrated skin surface. It is not usually the ingredient that creates a peel. A peel may use acids or another exfoliating method to remove or loosen surface cells, which can cause temporary tingling, dryness, redness, or flaking.

The deeper or stronger the procedure, the more important professional assessment becomes. Skin tone, sensitivity, active acne, eczema, cold sores, medicines, and recent procedures can affect whether peeling is appropriate.
