How quickly does scabies treatment relieve itchy skin?

Scabies causes inflammation as mites and their material irritate the skin. Treatment can stop the infestation without switching off that reaction immediately. Mild itch and old marks may therefore fade slowly. Ongoing new tracks, bumps, or affected contacts are more concerning for continued transmission or reinfestation than itch by itself.
