How long does oral antifungal treatment take to work for fungal acne?

Malassezia folliculitis often causes many small, similar-looking itchy bumps, commonly on the forehead, chest, shoulders, or back. Fewer new bumps and less itch suggest activity is decreasing. Existing bumps may flatten gradually, while darker or lighter marks can remain after inflammation settles. Acne, folliculitis caused by bacteria, and irritation can look similar, so persistent or worsening bumps may require a fresh assessment.

Take the prescribed medicine on its schedule and complete the course unless your clinician changes it.
