How long does my taste come back after COVID?

What people call taste is strongly influenced by smell. Nasal inflammation or loss of smell can make food seem bland even when the tongue can still detect basic tastes. Flavours may return unevenly, and some foods can smell or taste unusually unpleasant while the senses recover.
